all in one computer

    all in one computer


    i am 70 now and my legs are not to good so i was thinking of buying a all in one .
    what i like to know can i replace the cpu .ram .to make it faster .
    or buy a bare bone and and all the parts for it .
    a bare bone is about 325.00 but i could buy a good 21 inc for 685.00 .
    23 be a little to big so i go with a 20 or 21 .

    The "all in one" computers are basically a Laptop with a larger display. They are limited on upgradeability the same as a Laptop. I've installed and worked on a couple of them and all of them I have seen are "Laptops".

    Age is not an issue, I'm an "active" 76 year old "Florida Retiree".

    I've never been a fan of All-in-One anything, just for the fact that if one component fails, the whole device is unusable, if only whilst under repair.

    As for update potential, this would depend on the model involved, to fit everything into a suitable all-in-one package some manufacturers will utilize laptop components, this would mean of course that specialist bespoke components are involved which means that any upgrades are likely to be expensive when compared with "standard" desktop components.

    i did not mention .can i replace the drive with a ssd drive because i have a corsair gtx 120 gbs new .
    if you have any good one in mind no intel please .
    all i been using is amd

    this what i been using since 2007 is desktop .
    i just sold one yesterday that i never used much .
    at one time i had 5 of them brand new.
    you i build my own now no problem .
    the all in one well i was going to put on my coffe table .
    so a all in one is no good then right .
    no laptop for me i hate rubbing my finger .rubbing finger has been gone for a long time with .
    not only my legs are my eyes are also ..
    now my monitor is a 32 inc sony bravia

    you just did save me a lot money .
    what i will do is buy a 22 inc led tv and a long cable to reach my coffe table .
    about 250.00 at walmart .22 samsung hdtv
