Go to the taskbar, right click and go start task manager, then go performance, and the 2nd graph will show you and tell you how much is being used.
Cool, 3.67 out of 8.
Thats almost a full gig more than XP when I'm just running my normal set of programs.
Is there any way to get just the memory/percentage graph to mount on the taskbar at the bottom so I can monitor it all the time?
I'm really interested to see how much memory my computer is going to be using from time to time with all of the various programs I'm going to be running at the same time.
uhmm, i'm pretty sure theres a gadget that you can install to show CPU and Memory usage,
here:
Windows Live Gallery
that is totally sweet, really exactly what I was looking for.
These "gadgets" are they like widgets?
Is that a big part of Win 7 is this new gadget/widget option which allows for a bunch of mini programs to run on your desktop?
Seems the gadget & the task manager are off from each other by a few, any idea why?
There are a huge amount of gadgets available for Windows 7. We have a forum here for custom gadgets: Custom SevenForums Gadgets
enjoy :)
by the way, this gadget doesnt seem to stay on top of the desktop and falls behind programs.
Is there any way to get this to stick so its always visable? or attach it to the task bar or something?
