Yes, I do want to continue trying to find the answer to this problem and if I may, let me tell you what I am going to try next. Yesterday when I got the old Win. XP out and found out it having the same problem as the Win.7 , I started thinking about what the two computers had in common. With a wired mouse and keyboard hooked up they both worked perfectly. Change to the Logitech MK 550 wireless and they have problems.
In all the year's I ran the XP, I never had any problems with it going into sleep mode. For the first several years I just used the wired mouse and keyboard that come with the system. Than maybe 4 years ago I bought a Logitech MX5550 wireless setup and the computer continued to worked perfectly. The mouse went bad about the same time I put the XP into storage so I can't hook it up to see what happens, so here is what I'm going to do. I'm going to try and find someone that has a different brand of a wireless mouse and keyboard and try it out and see what happens. If need be, I will go and buy a cheap one to test with. What do you think? Worth a shot?

I can't speak for John, but I doubt he feel's you are butting in and I welcome all suggestions in trying to help me figure this out. When you made reference to possibly updating the drivers for the wireless mouse and keyboard, I got lost right away. All I know how to do is plug the wireless receiver into a USB port on computer, turn on the mouse and keyboard and hope it work's the way it is suppose to. All I use the keyboard for is to type. I guess you can do a lot of different computer functions by pressing certain keys, but I have never done any of that, and I have never gone to the Logitech web site and downloaded any additional software. Thank you for your input.
I do not know how long it will be before I get my hands on a different wireless mouse and keyboard, but will let you know the result's. If you guy's or anyone else that may be watching this thread have any other suggestion's you think I should try that are not very complicated to do, let me know. I appreciate your responses.
