    Windows 7 Hibernate/Standby Problems

Hello Everyone, glad to be on this forums,I have been searching for help for a while but none was able to find a solution to my problem
Description: It's been a while now since my laptop automaticly goes to sleep after 10 minutes of closing the lid.I have changed all the settings that are required not to hibernate when closing the lid, modified the power plan settings for every profile to do nothing when I close the lid and yet here I am with this problem persisting for over a month now and I need my laptop open really bad after I close the lid.Does anyone know a solution to this problem besides reinstalling the Windows?

Settings changed so far: Adjust what to do when closing the lid, every power plan was set to do nothing when closing the lid and to never sleep.

    Any solutions?
Thanks for reading and hope someone has a solution to my problem.
    Have a good day everybody!

EDIT: I dont want it either to sleep nor hibernate,id like those disabled if its possible.

This will show you how to turn of hibernate Hibernate - Enable or Disable
With the sleep problem you are having, check your screensaver and if it is set to blank change to none and then make your settings for never sleep if you have not done so already and see if that works.

    Bloatware

Perhaps some pre-installed ASUS bloatware is responsible (laptops seem to come with lots of it).

10 minutes after you close the lid

Sounds like a screen saver setting or some other power plan setting (other than sleep)

What do you have set for
Turn off hard disk after [Plugged in]
    Turn off display [Plugged in]

There's another setting when an application is running full screen that tells Windows "Do not Disturb". I can't seem to find the exact setting but I think it's presentation or gaming mode. I'll look around and post what I can find. Perhaps the full screen or presentation/gaming reference will jar someone else's memory and they'll post before I find the setting.

Could you describe why you need the machine open when the lid is closed?
I have my laptop "lid close" set to do nothing. I hook up an HDMI cable to watch video on the large screen TV and close the lid.
