How Do I Check My Original Operating Software

I Have My Disk Of Windows 7 Ultimate x64, One Of My Friends Has Windows XP Home Edition x86.
My Used PC Came With Windows 7 Home Premium x86, The Sticker Indicating The Original OS Was Not In My Notebook ( Because The Guy Who Used This PC, Played Some RPG With Touchpad And Found His Arms Always Running That Stick Irritating, So He Pulled It Off. ) I Have The Serial + Product Key Near My PC Battery.
Can I Download Windows 7 From Microsoft Site Just Like Windows 8 ( BTW, Its Crap ) ? How Do I Check The Operating Software My PC Came With? I´m Planning To Give Serial + Product Key To My Friend Since I Made The Move To x64. Can A Product Key Only Used Once Or If Its Not In Use ( Because I Have Now Ultimate Not Home Premium ) Be Used?

    Please Answer My Questions.

Let's break this down a bit.

So you are saying that at the moment you are running Win 7 Ultimate 64bit on this used laptop.

Did the Win 7 Home Premium 86bit disk come with this laptop, if so what is written on it?

    Hello DarkusFoxyn,

The Windows that came preinstalled on your computer is considered an OEM copy. An OEM copy of Windows is permanently tied to the motherboard it was first activated on, so you will not be able to activate it with your product key on a different computer.

If you have a retail copy of Windows, then you could as long as it wasn't also installed and activated on any other computer.

    Hope this helps, :)

Were you aware you're entitled to use either 32- or 64-bit Win7 with each license, so you didn't need to waste a retail Win7 64 bit license for changing to 64 bit when you could have re-activated with the Product Key it came with - providing you use the same version.

So what I would do is reinstall the version which came with the PC, except in 64 bit, activate it with the license which came with the PC, then give or sell your retail copy to your friend.

Everything you need to achieve this and end up with a perfect install is here in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

You can turn your Windows 7 Ultimate x64 into a universal disk that will install any version you want. You have to have a key to match the version installed so just select Home Premium and use the key on your OEM sticker. Like gregrocker said your product code is good for 32 bit or 64 bit.
