Cannot Delete File in Windows 7 x64

I have logged in as I always do as an ADMINISTRATOR..... I am trying to delete a file in by C: drive to allow for more room to install more programs. When I right click and select DELETE it says I require permission from Adminstrators to make changes to this folder.

I then go to the folder, right click on it select SECURITY, go to ADVANCED, then to OWNER and I have currently have ownership of the folder. So what is the problem?

When the prompt comes up that says "You Require Administrator Permission", there should be something on it to click so that you immediately have the permission.

Some files Windows 7 won't let you delete. Could you tell us what you are trying to delete?

Make sure you also have ownership of child objects. When you take ownership there's a box you need to check.

    Take Ownership of file

Hello ArchitectEngine, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, you might see if you may be able to delete the file with the free program Unlocker.

    Hope this helps, :)
