    Stop breadcrumbs in SaveAs dialog

How can I stop "breadcrumbs" in Address bar of SaveAs dialog. ?
(I have disabled breadcrumbs in Explorer window using Registry tweaks)

I find bread crumbs difficult to read until I click in the address bar
... all that does is add extra clicks to a simple save file process
    Is there a registry tweak?

    Thank you :)

I'm not sure if we are thinking of the same thing. My system does not do anything like breadcrumbs in Explorer.

    Try this for starters:
Open Explorer > Tool Menu > Folder Options > and then make sure both boxes are unchecked in the Navigation section

Bread crumbs is the > Library > you see in Explorer above the one you have a Red arrow pointing at. For example:

    Stop breadcrumbs in SaveAs dialog-breadcrumbs.jpg

I don't understand why anyone would want to disable them, they are so useful. You can click on any part of the bread crumb to go there. For instance, in the example I posted, if you click on Program Files (x86) Explorer will take you there.

Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements gives you the option to turn breadcrumbs off, plus a whole lot of other options.

I don't know how to turn the feature off, sorry.

I am curious though, as I can't think of a single negative regarding breadcrumbs. What is it about them you dislike? I'm like others above that feel they are so useful and powerful that I hate using Explorer in XP which doesn't have them.

I'd rather see the real path as the default display setting (the user should be able to set it to whichever option they prefer).

I do find them useful in certain situations.

    When I have:

    • To use the "Save As" dialogue (the windows are always too small)
    • Been thwarted by the Windows Explorer Navigation Pane scrolling bug (er ... feature)
