To what "legacy key" are you referring?

Can you provide a description or picture?

Can not delete Legacy key

I wanted to delete the Legacy_HITMANPRO37 key. I went to each hive, selected 'Permissions' and made sure everyone had 'full control'. Ran regedit/find and selected "Hitman". Got to Legacy_HITMANPRO37, after deleting some other HitMan keys, and it would not delete. I got an error msg, which I have forgotten now after several hours.
Anyway, the gist of this story is that after several attempts to delete that key, and getting a msg that I could not do it, this key has disappeared! Thank you for responding. What ever magic is working on this machine, I need a can of it to now find out why IE11 just up and quits sometimes.
Again, I appreciate your interest in helping me. Thankfully there are good people like you always willing to give their time for others.

I would roll back to IE10 in Windows Updates>Update History>View Installed Updates because IE11 is buggy in other ways, too, like messing up gadgets: IE11 Appears not to support gadgets. What are the alternatives ? - Page 3 - Windows 7 Help Forums

Installing Win7Pro on new computer
I just recently built a new computer myself, and am trying to put Windows 7 on it. I downloaded Win7 Pro with the student discount from the MS website as an ISO file. I keep being told to burn the ISO file to a DVD +R and install it that way, but for some reason when I downloaded it from the MS...

Should I delete legacy Recovery drive?
I am planning to perform a clean install of Win7 on my Dell Vista PC (as I understand this is better in the long term than an upgrade). My PC has a 10GB D: drive, which it came installed with, 'Recovery'. Is this something I should delete/format as part of the Win7 upgrade process (and will I...

Upgrade to Win7Pro from Win7HomePremium
I am running Win7 Home Premium without any problems; however, I have acquired Windows 7 Professional. My question is how can I use the license for the Home Premium on another system? I know I would have to call Microsoft to reset the key: but when would I do this?
