Explorer.exe The application was unable to start correctly

So a few days ago I installed some themes and other stuff like rain-meter and some torrents to my laptop, this evening the theme started acting up so I restarted my computers that is when I saw this message. Now I'm not sure what this is or how it happened but I need desperate help. I see that there are other people out there with a similar problem and the solution would be to do a system restore but the thing is my system restore doesn't work either. I am not a computer expert so please take it easy on me.
"System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed.
    Details:
An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x80070002)"
Thank you in advance, hope you guys can help me out!

Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If it fails, or you cannot boot into your desktop, try SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot
