Column headings not showing on local drive

Hi One of my partitioned drives does not have these default column headings: Name, Date modified, Type and Size. I need those columns so I could list my files and folders alphabetically. Pls advise, thanks. Cheers menk

Open Explorer to a folder that has the headings. In View => Settings press the button to use these settings for All Folders.

Hello Menk, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, you would need to set them to have a General Items folder template with a Details view.

Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

    Hope this helps, :)

Hey Brink & MilesAhead Thanks for your kind response. Brink, I tried your suggestion on how to reset all folder via the Folder Options, and all it did was to remove the headings from another partition! MilesAhead, with the Explorer, there is no Settings under View; however, when I clicked on Details, I got all the headings I needed! And for all the partitions, I'm happy to add. :) Anyway, I appreciate the opportunity for learning something. Best menk

Unfortunately MS likes to shift the settings around in every Windows flavor it seems. I only have Windiws 8 now. And Explorer is a bit different. I couldn't look in W7 to check. In any case glad you resolved it.
