refurbished pc. is this a good deal?

    Which is desirable....lower or higher clock speed? And what does clock speed mean? (sorry I truly hate reading same thing many times and not have a clue what it is...like clock speed). I googled...and no help. Too technical.

    Newegg frequently sells windows 7 home premium and proffesional pcs with core 2 duos and 2GB ram small desktop workstations for $100 refurbished. (Keep an eye out for shell shockers.) I had bought two of them recently to replace old xp desktops for family. They work great. 120-300gb hdd typically. More then enough for average user.
