    Modify Taskbar

    Hello,

I have a couple items questions on items in the taskbar:

    • I have two icons located next to the Start button I would like to remove. However, after I remove them, they return on the next reboot. How do I permanently remove these items?
    • The date and time are displayed on the right side of the taskbar. How do I remove the date but leave the time?

    Thanks,
    SKK

Hello SKK, and welcome to Seven Forums.

What programs are the pinned icons on the taskbar for? Please post a screenshot to show what you are seeing to see if that may ID a cause.
I'm not sure that you can remove the date, but you could play with it's format to see if one may work better.
Hope this helps for now, :)
    Shawn

If you use small icons on the taskbar, it only displays the time.

Ah, thanks David, that fixed the time/date thing. I still have the two icons I'd like to get rid of. Maybe someone has an idea on that.

    Thanks again,
    Steve K.

Can you post the screenshot Brink asked for in post #2, and do you know what programs they are for ?

Attached is a screen shot of the taskbar. The icons are for HP Tasks (I don't know exactly which ones).

    Steve,

If you don't use them, then uninstalling those programs should stop them from reappearing pinned to the taskbar.

If you do, then check the settings in the program to see if there may be one to have it pinned to the taskbar.

    Hey Brink,

Good idea - I don't use either so yes I deleted them both.

    Thanks again,
