Cannot Search new Items, but can old

Last 2 days I see a problem -
I can't search in folder for newly added items (.jpg pictures mostly)
- but I still can search for Old Items, which were there before yesterday / before the issue started

- I used to download a few images per day and sometimes share them elsewhere , they all were in the same folder - many images....and I used to find my image typing in the search bar first letters, it did work until a day before yesterday; not anymore. even when I clearly see image is there.
But I still can find images which were there earlier.

1.Looking for solution... (except syst. restore)

2.I found your manual to Rebuild Index , it is in process as I write....
3. If it will rebuild my existing Index, but how about any future files?

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hello Zamba,

The index will randomly automatically update (rebuild) itself in the background. The problem is that if the computer is not idle, it only updates slowly in the background when it is running, and may not have time to finish fully updating with your changes. When you manually rebuild the index, it forces the index to start updating now.

Of course the index only includes the locations you added.

Hope this helps, :)

Problems with windows search box finding indexed items
Hi My current set up is to have Windows 7 Home Preimium installed on my 240gb SSD and pictures/videos/music stored on a larger standard drive. I used the location change tab on the relevant folders, to relocate My Documents/My Music etc to my standard drive. Everything operates great but I...
When searching in the search bar I see: "No items match your search."
Hi. Searching via the Explorer search bar/start menu for music no longer produces any results. My music has always been stored on an external drive, plus it's added in Music>Libraries - same results in both locations. If I search a particular folder that I know contains what I'm searching ...

How to delete items directly from search results window
Windows 7 Pro 32 bit awkward question, but the basics are: I usually search for the word "UPDATED" and I often will receive results with 3-4 instances of the same old "updated" files. I would like to be able to delete the older files directly from the search results list, as I could in XP...
