I ran Super antispyware and it found nothing, either. I think after four scans I can safely conclude that there is no problem. I still can't explain the surge in memory use, but that seems to have settled down as well.

I'll chalk this one up to confusion on my part.

Be sure to monitor the Add-ons in your browser, too. I don't let anything run except Flash and a .pdf helper.

Yeah, that's all I run, too. The fewer add-ons the better for me.

Last night's Windows 7 Update, grabbing IPs now
Came to the office this morning and all the Windows 7 machines dropped off the network after a Windows update last night. No other machines (Mac, CentOS, Ubuntu) were affected. I had to static the IPs on them in order to get them to connect otherwise they would just grab IPs.
