In Windows 7 the folder is not named My Documents. All you will find when using that as a search term is a symbolic link that you cannot access. I asked you to use all or part of a filename that you know exists in your Documents folder so please try again.

The four I: icons are probably just shortcuts so you can just delete them.

BJB, thanks for your response. I misread what you stated previously. This time I typed in "Alt Key Codes" and found the location as I:\Users|David\My Documents. However, I had given up trying to locate the original "My Documents" that was located at C:\Users|David and simply created a new folder "My Documents" at the I:\Users|David location and then moved several folders and files there.

As to merely deleting the four I:\ icons, I have tried several ways to try to delete them but cannot do so.

You have checked for your folders in the I: drive in Windows Explorer?

Yes, the My Documents folder wasn't there, so, as I stated, I couldn't find it elsewhere so I created a new folder there. I had to do the same with My Music, because that also "disappeared".

Did you restore the shell Documents folder before creating a new one using Option Two in User Folders - Restore Default Location - Windows 7 Forums.

If not you can try to re-create the shell folder now, then move it to I to the Documents folder you've already created there..

Please post back a screenshot of your named User folder which you open with the command I gave you earlier. If that doesn't show the I shortcuts you're concerned about, post another screenshot showing those.

I would like to publicly thank gregrocker for his valuable time, advice and patience during TeamViewer session I had with him today. He was able to fix most of the problems I had and I very much appreciate it.
