Windows 7 for business / Windows 8.1 for Home

    Hi there.

Whatever Ms (and others) say about W8.1 - W7 REMAINS BY FAR the most suited for business -- although for HOME use if you can cut through all the FUD and diasambulation about W8.1 it's not anything like as horrible as it's purported to be --although unlike W7 you need to do a little bit of work to get it to run HOW YOU WANT.

Now what would REALLY interest me is if there is any program like the old nLite where you could remove most of the features you don't want or use in W7 so it could be a really fast and trimmed down OS.

Running as a VM in Unity mode I could have OFFICE (from the W8.1 system) and the Corporate back end apps including two three three works VPN's (from the W7 system) on my desktop - so I'd get the best of all worlds.

It seems that the idea of businesses moving to W8.1 has certainly sensibly fallen on Deaf ears -- I don't think organisations like SAP have even THOUGHT of adapting their software to work with W8.1 either.

(W9 might be a whole different ballgame though).

    Cheers
