System interupts using 17% or more processor all the time

A week or so I noticed that system interrupts was using a significant percentage of my processor all the time. Upon googling the issue I found that it is most likely a hardware driver error. I have done a in place reinstall or upgrade of the following drivers: graphics, chipset, audio, network cards, hard drive, BIOS, and CD/DVD drive. I have also gone through Device Manager and one by one disabled devices that had the option to be disabled, except for the devices under the sub-menu system devices, in order to try to find out what device maybe causing the problem. However, nothing has worked so I am turning to the forum for help. It seems like after restarting my computer it takes a day or so for the problem to reoccur.

Hello, anyone there. I downloaded Windows Performance Analyzer (Xperf) and ran it to look for what was exactly causing the problem, it seems to be ataport.sys, but I'm not sure exactly what im looking at. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone is willing, I can send my Windows performance recorder file so you can take a look.

I ran Latencymon, also here is what it looks like.

Anyone know how to fix this.

ATAPORT.SYS causing random Blue Screen. - Microsoft Community

Check for MBR-virus rootkit.win32.TDSS.tdl4, then check your RAM for errors.

It has been 36 hours since the problem has occurred so I think it is fixed.

First off my problem (high CPU usage from System interrupts) occurred only when there was a high amount of disc usage, such as when copying files, opening a program or running a program that accesses the disk a lot when running, like a virus scan.

Here is what I did, though I am not sure exactly which fixed the problem.

I downloaded and ran Auslogics Registry cleaner, Auslogics Disk defragmenter, and Auslogics Registry Defragmenter. When running the Disk defragmenter, I selected the option to move system files to the front of the disc and ran the defrag and optimizer, as opposed to solely the defrag.

Then I ran Chkdsk using the following Administrator command prompt command: Chkdsk /f /r :C

After words, I downloaded Seatools from Seagate, and ran the Fix All long option on my hard drive.
