BIOS ver AMI p53e 204 went from 15 to 100 seconds with dual boot/

I have mdl AMI P5w3e 204 Bios in my laptop. I added Ubuntu 12 with dual boot. I used Easy123 to create a boot menu not realizing that the Ubuntu installer also created a boot menu. Whatever the two boot menus do I know that the time from start of display of the bios to when it finishes displaying went from 15-20 seconds to 1 minute 40 seconds. I will try to remove the Easy123 menu and see if that makes a difference. In the meantime is the length of the bios running affected by Ubuntu?

The correct name is EasyBCD NOT Easy123. Anyway the bios is still at 100 seconds with th EasyBCD menu removed. I would prefer to use the EasyBCD menu rather that the one created by the Ubuntu installer. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Had two menus, GRUB for Ubuntu and Easy BCD. Grub was the first menu and EasyBCD was the second menu. Reverseds them letting EasyBCD be the fir0st menu. The bios went down from 100 seconds to about 10-15 seconds.
