    continuous boot

hi there.i have just formatted and loaded win7 onto a HDD which i did with my dell 1750 laptop. this HDD was for my older sony vaio that doesnt have the boot from usb option. i put the HDD in the vaio and then switch on. at this point the progress bar at the bottom says loading program files and works its way from left to right. when it reaches the end of the bar on the right the vaio reboots and does this continuously. the HDD works perfectly in the dell but does this when swapped to the vaio. i have altered around the boot order just to see if it makes any difference but it doesnt it just boots into a loop. please help, many thanks in advance

Does the Sony have a CD/DVD drive? If so, try Paragon Adaptive Reatore.

    continuous boot

Thanks for reply..it won't.load from.disc.in disc drive..if you.see.my.previous post that will show why I had to load it on via another laptop. It would.load and on the final reboot when press any key.to boot, it would lock up. I got over it by loading it via a isn stick on my dell unit as vaio doesn't have a boot from usb in the start up or bios. It continuously boots now I have taken the hard drive out of the dell and into the vaio. Many thanks for looking.at my.post. cheers

Hi there. Well.I.tried that paragon repair software. Even though I had the cd booting first I could nt get the cd to run long enough before the loading windows progress bar came up and switch the unit off. I did manage to get it going after moving the hard drive down to bottom boot device which gave me extra few seconds for paragon to boot. I managed to complete paragon but when I rebooted the same thing happen so I then through the vista CD in and with that couple of seconds extra it ran through and completed. Happy bunny now. I would like to thank you guys, all that helped, its amazing.how u know all that stuff. All the best.....TG
