    Windows freezing during certain applications

I had thought that I fixed this issue of my computer freezing randomly by reinstalling my graphics card. not the case. it now freezes when I use youtube, or when I listen to music files in wmp. can anyone help me figure this out. I have reinstalled my gpu driver for a second time and ive tried to disable flash enhancements but couldn't see where to disable it. and ive reinstalled my wmp and reindexed the library.

Just so that we can rule out a bad memory location, could you run Memtest86+, please?

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Let it run for several passes, overnight is best. That will tell us if you have a RAM issue and we can go from there.

will do as soon as my wmp is done re-indexing the library. I also installed the previous gpu driver. im going to see if that takes care of it as well.

1.) Do you have the latest drivers for your hardware?

    ASRock > 990FX Extreme9

2.) Do you have the latest graphics drivers?

    Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

3.) You can also try running a Disk Check

4.) You can also disable startup items to see if a program is causing the issue:

i reinstalled a new k-lite codec pack, adobe shockwave and flash player, and i reinstalled the latest graphics driver from evga. i was able to watch two yotube videos yesterday with no problem. I haven't tried playing any media through wmp yet. I will do as soon as I get home from work.
