    keyboard types letters intermittantly and cursor jumps all over

    Lately, my keyboard has not been acting right. In order to type in a field on a website, sometimee s I have to click several times before my keyboard will start typing and even then, sometimes I'll get 1-2 letters typed and then the cursor is gone somewhere else on the screen. Sometimes it will be in another part of the text I've been typing and insert the new letters. Another thing that has been happening and I don't know if it's the mouse or my computer is possessed. All of a sudden another program will open without prompting. My cursor is all over the screen, it takes me x longer to type anything because of my keyboard. I just had someone go through my computer tK50o give it a complete tune up. Obviously, the my missed some things. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on with my computer? Isuse a wireless mouse because I hate the touchpad and the touchpad has been completely deactivated so it can't be causing these problems. I don't want to have to buy a new keyboard because where would I put it. Please help me if you .

    programs

    Thanks for your quick reply. Actually, there aren't any specific programs. Any program on my computer opens. I'm wondering if I have malware on myoing bazar computer because my Start Menu keeps popping up and my machine is doing bazarre things. I need to run a scan with an excellent program. I don't suppose you know of a security program that is super strong and very thorough.

    Yes its safe and free for a bit then you have to buy but we will just use it to fix this (if malware) then it shouldnt matter if you have one or not, just be careful what you download

    your welcome Dswapp. Is it possible that liquid could have been spilt on they laptop? If not do these following steps.

    1. Boot into SafeMode by tapping F8 when turning on your computer.
    2. Once in safe mode we will run a virus remover, we're going to use Microsoft Safety Scanner insted of Malwarebytes, Why Microsft Safety Scanner not Malwarebytes? because Malwarebytes isnt meant for SafeMode.

    If that doesnt work we can do a system restore to go back to before this issue occurred.

    To run System Restore, click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

    @dswapp

    If your using a laptop, and the keyboard is acting not quite right, it most likely is due to something being spilled on it, or its going bad.

    In which case I would contact asus support for a possible replacement.

    @T0by

    Malwarebytes is always free. If you check the free trial box the on demand scanning protection is disabled, but you can still manually run with malwarebytes and manually update it and scan.
