Have you guys ever tried to increase C drive space?

I hope I have asked my question in the right place. Here is my issue. Recently, I often receive the low disk space error that says my C drive has only 5% of free space left. In order not to cause negative impact on my computer performance, I should extend its space quickly. But, I am not so familiar with the extending problem and donít know what to do. Do you have any idea for me? What should I take care in the process of expanding? Please, help me!

We have to know the size of your current C partition and also the size of the hard drive of which it is a part.

If the C partition occupies the entire drive, it cannot be expanded. If it occupies only part of the drive, perhaps it can.

Provide that information.

If possible, post a screen shot of Windows Disk Management.

How big is the hard drive? Do you have extra space on another partition?

First lets assume you just ran out of space, you need to clean up your C: drive.

Try to uninstall unused programs. You can use something like Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller (It's more efficient than Windows uninstaller)

And then you can download a program like CCleaner and delete files you don't need laying around.

(If you don't feel comfortable doing those, respond and I'll give you more detailed instructions)

If you have another partition on that drive with space available to move over, follow this guide: Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD

Edit: looks like I'm slow tonight. Good advice from the others posting a screen shot of your Disk management.
