How to prevent users to rename my computer icon on desktop.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

If they have there own account on the PC, you could change there Permissions.

Also you could make the shortcut read only, and change permissions on that shortcut.

Windows 10 Pro X64

All they are doing is changing the name of the link. Curious why that is a problem?

'Rename' box doesn't show up when I rename a file shortcut
So basically (I'll try to be descriptive), I have an Excel file (extension xlsm) on my USB and I right click it, send to --> desktop (create shortcut). I see the shortcut.
