Windows 7: Captcha human validation will not work with my system

Captcha human validation will not work with my system

Running win7 64bit on my system. Every time I try to send a message to a website using its response mechanism it never works if it uses a Captcha system to verify I am a human because it says the answer I submitted doesn't match the Captcha image. I have tried turning off my antivirus and anything else I could think of that might be interfering with Captcha but no joy. Would anyone have any idea what might be preventing Captcha from working or know where I should be looking for the problem. Thanks for any feedback.

Many captchas are so distorted it can be very hard to be sure you are actually reading it correctly. I use Ctrl + as often as necessary to blow the thing up to a size I can read.

Bing using CAPTCHA?
A few days ago I needed to download a new copy of Thunderbird, so I entered it into Bing. The weird thing is, Bing wouldn't search for it until I passed a CAPTCHA test! I never saw that before... is that new? Why would Bing do that... to stop bots from gaming the search results?
