Change the dot to comma on numeric keypad (win 7 ultimate 64bit)

    Hello @all!

    I am new here, so please give me some credit <img src="images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" smilieid="1" class="inlineimg" />

I am living in Brazil and installed my win 7 ultimate edition in English and downloaded and installed the Portuguese language pack, which actually worked without a problem.

The only thing, driving me mad, is that the decimal limiter in Brazil is a comma, not a dot and this, although I changed the whole localization, including keyboard, to Portuguese (Brazilian). I went to "Region and Language" -> "Additional settings...." and manually changed the "Decimal symbol" to a comma with no joy! I downloaded "Microsoft Keyboard Layouter 1.4" and tried to remap the point on the numeric keypad to ANYTHING else... with no success as well!

I am checking the function with notepad and browser because I think, that there will be some additional localization changes to do in Word or Excel but I am not able to change the dot to a comma.
I tried so many things, that at the moment the English keyboard settings do not react anymore when pressing the dot on the numeric pad. It just does nothing!

When I change over to the Brazilian keyboard, it displays a dot... not a comma as defined.

I would be very happy if somebody could point me to a working solution as changing localization does not have any effect and I lost my dot under English keyboard driver. Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome to 7F, I personally hope you enjoy your time here.

I dont want to sound patronizing but do you know how to use "Microsoft Keyboard Layout Editor" programs like that can be very confusing, anyway heres the link with the information you might need.

Hello HLPTech! I followed Little Tiny Fish · Illustration · Design · Advertising and the new custom keyboard shows but does not work.

:) Beat me... I was unsure which of the two tools will do the job better and I picked the wrong one. Sharpkeys works perfect, changed the dot to a comma. Only "downside" is that I may not change back, switching keyboards... but I can live with that. Thanks for the help!
