    Starter vs Home Premium

I'm sure this has been answered by various personages six ways from Sunday, but here goes anyway. I have a li'l netbook w/the usual specs: 1.6 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD. Currently running Starter, where previously I was running XP. What with all the "XP will kill your Mom if you keep using it" scare, I was able to go to this. NOW--that was the last XP machine we had. Everything else is on some flavor of Win7, all running nicely, thanks. My question is this: Will I see any improvement--of any kind EXCEPT visual (Aero, etc)--if I shell out for the HP WAU? Or, given its netbookiness, am I just as well served to leave it as-is?

    Thanks!

Scroll down through this link and see if any of the added stuff appeals to you.

Some of it is just eye candy and some isn't.

All Windows 7 editions have identical performance. The difference is in the features provided.

This article provides a good comparison:

Whether these added features are worth the cost is a question only you can answer.
