I have not had to go into the setup for several months now and did not know that a password had been installed. I have asked all my kids that use this laptop and have had the same reply "not me"

I'm suggesting the rule #6 of the Forum Rules applies.

    6) No discussions of hacking someones system, network, password, etc

Some how some way you will have to get the password from your child.

    From post #1
I press F2 it asks for password which I have forgotten. Where do I go from here

I have one child that has a learning problem and he uses this laptop all the time. He may not even know that he did this and as for remembering or even making him realize what I am asking is a challenge

Well thanks guys. It was a good try to get back up and running. Will have to shelf this unit and next one put in my admin password myself so as this never happens again.
