    win 7 lockout

Hope I am in right catagory. This question probably has been answered many times but i do not know wher to go to find answer.

I am locked out of win 7. I can't even get to bios and can't change boot drive. When I turn on my labtop it goes to post and "press F2 to enter setup" that is where the problem lies because when I press F2 it asks for password which I have forgotten. Where do I go from here

Going to have to flash the bios, download it from the place that made the laptop and flash it that way.

Flash = Reprogram = Reinstall Bios

    Is that the only way?
The whole senerio is: I started my laptop as usual and when it got to the Starting Windows screen, it sat there for a few min then restarted. It went to Launch setup repair which I activated, It went through it's process and went to a light blue windows screen where it sat. The mouse is showing and working but no instructions or anything else. I had to do a hard shutdown, restarted the laptop and started that whole circle over again. If I could get the laptop to boot to either cd or flash drive then i probably could fix problem, but getting there is another thing

Plut in the Windows 7 CD and boot to it. Repair it from there. Also do sfc /now to see in the command window with in the repair area of the CD. The onboard repair seems like they may be an issue. The repair should't give you any problems when fixing.

If it reboot again, after fixing it, I would do a memory test on the system, download Memory 64+ let that run for about over night or till it says it done, if you see red than you need new memory.

If their is a password needed to enter the bios or computer you will need that password.
Someone put that password there for a reason.
    Who installed the password?

With a desktop there is a way to remove password eg. take battery out or change pins or another way to remove installed passwords. Is there a way to do the same with a laptop? If I downloaded BIOS from vebsite will my laptop recognise that drive or still try to logon to the HDD?
