    Computer "Manage" window not working

Right-click on computer - "Manage" doesn't open the "Computer Manage" window but MMC process runs in the processes. All other MMC snap ins in Administrative tools works fine. I tried many things like adding the Computer Manage directly from the MMC console, checking Local Group Policies and registry keys. Nothing worked. I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Any ideas?

Just as a check, type "computer management" in the Start search box. That should show up "Computer management at the top of the list! See if that opens OK.
You could try running sfc /scannow!

Doing that results in the same thing. MMC process starts but the Computer Management window doesn't open. sfc found no problems.

Forgive me for asking but how did you manage to run sfc /scannow in less than 5 minutes?
Has this problem only recently happened? If so try doing system restore to a point behind when it started.

Would be helpful if you post what you have already tried to resolve the issue.

    Have you tried the above?

    This is interesting:

I have system restore turned off. Every month I do a EaseUS Todo Backup if there are no problems but I didn't notice this problem and I don't have a backup before this problem.

Why turn system restore off? It's one of the best problem solvers in Windows! Perhaps Brink, the administrator will see this thread and work one of his magic registry fixes.
