    Where do the save file goes to? I download a file and don't know where it goes to.

    Your browser should have a setting through which you can control the download location.

    In Firefox, it's at tools/options/general.

    by default downloads files are in 'C:\Users\<computer name>\downloads

    alternatively if you open documents , its the 2nd option from top in the left side bar DOWNLOADS

    Click on Start ('Orb') > Computer Account Name (usually your name, at any rate this located at the top right of the Start menu) > Double Click on the Downloads folder.

    I download Gameranger but don't see any file in Downloads folder.

    there are folders in downloads, compressed, video, music etc, check in them or try looking in c: because once i downloaded a torrent and I found it in c where it had created a new folder named downloads but it was most probably because of the download location specified in the torrent client by default

    Internet Explorer will save to the location that I indicated by default. Perhaps you cancelled the download, or the file is still downloading, hence why you cannot see it in the Downloads folder.
