Windows 7 Professional x32

What you may do is boot from CD on startup and format the partition altogether.

On windows 7 installation, there is an advance option to format the partition before installation.

Can't get past "Preparing Windows for First time Use"
Hey Everyone, I was trying to do a clean install on a Dell Inspiron 545MT (with a samsung hd642jj drive) and initially formatted the system partition (NOT the recovery partition) and then tried to do a fresh install. Now, everything goes smoothly, all files are copied properly and everything....

'Preparing your Desktop' Message
When I logged on to Windows 7 the other day, it read 'Preparing your desktop' for some reason and after it finished loading it went into a weird account, with Windows Aero disabled and the background was black. Can someone please tell me what happened?

I'm unable to switch user, so I log off the user. When I try to go to another user, I get "preparing desktop" instead of "welcome" while I'm waiting. then I get a generic desktop. Any ideas?

Windows 7 does not boot past "setup is preparing..."
My laptop froze after entering a wrong product key. I then pressed the shut down button till my computer went off. I restarted the computer and chose the "start windows normally" option. The laptop boots to "setup is preparing for first use" screen. It lasts for about 1 minute and then the computer...
