ConvertXtoDVD 4 not sure about removing this and other programs

    Hi,

I have win7 Pro 64bit. I think this might have been put on my computer at the computer shop. The computer is only 3 months old and I took this in to have things done. Anyway, I don't know what this program is, though I'm assuming from the name it converts various things to dvd. However, I don't even have a dvd since I have nothing to play a dvd. Can I just uninstall this program. I just want to make sure it is not something the system needs. Same question for a program called Team Viewer which seems to be a remote control to another computer or allowing remote control of this computer [if you sign up ] Since this computer has Windows Remote Assistance, wouldn't that other be kind of redundant?

    Thanks for any help/suggestions

Just do a Google search on ConvertXtoDVD to see what it is. I'd say you can uninstall it.
TeamViewer is a remote control programsimilar to Remote Desktop. Not needed but it is good if you ever need remote assistance. You can uninstall that too if you want.

You can uninstall them if you want, is the converter program bugging you? Why do you want to uninstall it?

Teamviewer is a good program too but if you didn't install it then, you can uninstall that.

Well, doesn't Windows Remote Assistance do that or is this something different? Does it work better

Well, I'm old, really old :) and I have no dvd anything so I doubt I would ever need it. Heck, I still use TV/VCR combos to record any shows I want to watch. Anyway, if it's something I won't use, I see no sense in keeping it.

Thanks to both of you, I appreciate the help
