    Deleting favourites no longer wanted

Over time I have built up a huge number of icons on my Favourites both on the favourites down list at the left hand side and right hand side drop down list.

Now I want to delete most of them but apart for going through them one by one deleting them individually to keep the ones I want I cannot see a system of highlighting the ones I want gone and just hit delete once to save what will be a very long time going through them as I am now.

They are shortcut files located here:
    C:\Users\username\Favorites
And one folder down for the Links (Favorites bar)

You can view them in Widows (file) Explorer's detail mode...
...add a column for date accessed
    ...sort by that column
...evaluate (delete?) the ones you've not touched in a while.

However, there are apps (like backup apps) that mess with the date accessed value.

Hi John, I know this has been marked as solved but have a look at this post, there is a link for a favourites dead link and duplicates cleaner, it worked well for the person who used it, anyway it's a nifty little programme to keep in your toolbox even if it is of no use to you now.
    Cheers.
