Account is locked out and cannot be logged into

I was having a problem with a computer which would just freeze and the only way I could use it was to power it off and restart. It would then work fine for a while but eventually freeze again, and the frequency of the freezes seemed to be increasing. I suspected it was the SSD, so I cloned the SSD to a new conventional drive and the problem persisted. Next I tried going to a clean boot, but freezes continued. Eventually, I removed my antivirus program and this seemed to finally stop the freezing problem. At this point, I decided to try running without AV, so I turned on Windows Defender, and started running my browser and email in Sandboxie. I also changed my UAC for my standard user account from none to max. I've always run with the UAC off, because I didn't like the interruptions. But as soon as I did try to change something I was prompted to change to an admin account to do it. I have 2 user accounts, the standard account and another with admin. Both accounts have the same password. The first time I was able to log in to the admin account, but the next time I got this account is locked out message. It's possible I typed the pw incorrectly once. So, I can now use my standard user account, but can't make any system changes. I can always go back to my original drive, so no real big problem, but I'd like to know if I can fix this problem.

I'm sure I have the right pw because it worked the first time. I don't have a pw reset disk. I understand I have to wait before I can gain access, but is there a way for me to figure out how long the wait time is?

Nevermind. I took a moment and went back to the original drive. Once there it occurred to me that I might be able to create a pw reset file for it, and use it for the other one. First, I found that I already had done this, but I redid it. Then I went back to the problem drive and found that I was able to log on to the locked out account. I guess the lock out must have timed out.
