    Problem with my laptop

Hi my name is Amy I have a problem with my laptop. On May 3rd It was very strange on sims 3. I was playing sims 3 for 5 hour then the screen went black. I turn it off and turn it back on and it was fine, until it went to the main screen, and it was saying something about c drive corrupted. I check it out and look fine.I am not sure it had something up after I put my password in to go to the main screen. It was gone when it went to the main screen. I have weather on the laptop,it came saying that was corrupted.even thought the weather came and still work. And this morning, I open my laptop,it was on,I click the space bar to bring the screen back up,but freeze. I do not know what is going on. Please help me

Hi Amy and welcome to Sevenforums,
    Safe mode with networking,
Shut down your machine, Unplug-Hold the power button down for 30/45 seconds (Power Drain)
Power up and Tap the F8 key continuously until you see a black page with white text,
Use the down arrow key to toggle to safe mode with networking/ hit the enter key.
    Login as usual
    Other advanced methods,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

After entering Safe mode with networking download the scanners below and post the scan results,
    Repeat the scans starting normally,
Review Jacee’s instructions to run Adwcleaner here post #7,
Ignore the title of the thread,
    Instant Savings App
Screen shot of the download button to use for Adwcleaner
You can use these free tools to see if they find anything,
Manually Update them before running full scans,
Try not to use your computer while the scans are running, (one at a time of course).
Uncheck the box to Activate the Free trial from the final install options,

The first thing that says to me is overheating. Can we have some more detailed system specs for your laptop please.

Please follow the link I posted instead of copying the system specs from your profile which we can already see. As I said, we need more details.

That's better, thank you. I think it would be safe to say that your first issue would have been down to overheating, that spec is not a gaming spec at all so the laptop would have shut itself down to protect itself.

Please follow Thrashzone's advice and post back with the results.

C Drive reporting itself corrupted requires a Disk Check which should have been offered.

I am so sorry it took so long for the results. The results are the DVD player, it doesn't work at all. We think that this was probably going bad and this is what was causing my problem. So I am going to get check out by a computer place and I will givie you more results. The reson why it took so long was that my main computer was not hook up until today.
