Microsoft has always charged the same price for the last few years.
But you never know, they might do another discount sale sometime in the future. |

really here it is almost like a sale where i am ffrom anyways i mean the operating system itself is rather pricey at like $100/$150 but new pcs with os are rather inexpensive when you think about it atleast at best buy that's how it was
Edit: but i do agree that is rather pricey for an operating system and i would only imagine that the price of anything like that will go down take ps3 for example i have a friend who got his illegally made me mad cuz i had to pay hundreds for a new system lol |

The price in Portugal is high. Here in Germany it is somewhat cheaper. Maybe you can order it from here: http://www.alternate.de/html/solr/search/result.html Go to the software tab and put windows 7 into the search field or click on the big windows 7 field.

At least historically, their prices don't tend to drop.
It's around now that you can find things like the family 3-packs that won't be out there forever. They may not be in all countries (yet) though. |

Is this a sign that HDD prices are about to fall? I've noticed on Newegg that they've increased the limits on the amount of drives that you can buy. I've seen 3, 5, 10, 20 and 100 drive limits, today. Even the 20 packs are back. If they have so many drives in stock, then why are prices still so high? Price gouging, perhaps? Something... |

I looked at newegg last night and prices have doubled in the last month! Guess, I will postpone that purchase of a NAS!!! The impending hard drive... |
