@ Trisk

Everyone of your problems is EASILY fixable.
Go on, tell me how?
Especially make my Sidewinder work. I was searching for fixes and NADA I really don't have time to search here for hours, so many topics here...

Finally it happened. New comp bought by my BF.
And for over a week from installing so many issues. He just told me, that "there was a time I loved my computer, those times are definitely over"... Every day new issue, new "cannot".
1. It needs PROGRAM to remember icons positions. Common?...
2. It doesn't support best Force Feedback joystick its own production: Sidewinder... My BF told me that he will not spend a lot of money to find decend replacement (Which is supposedly not possible). I had to move on to Cyborg X joystick from normal Sidewinder Precision 2. Well... it is pain. No better joystick than Sidewinder, sorry...
3. Total problem with owning thing and administrator things.
4. For example we couldn't change skin in Winamp and couldn't download any plugins. PAIN IN THE ASS...
5. No Outlook Express, Windows Mail is stupid, Thunderbird annoying, won't buy Outlook 2010 for sure... No using mail whatsoever then.
6. Hypersnap started working after XP mode turning on (even if it is last one edition and should work), one hour of anger...
7. Making stupid partition during installing (100MB) for system?! Cannot make my own system partition. Stupid...
8. Favourite marine aquarium screensaver doesn't work too.
9. ACD See doesn't work... We won't buy new products only for stupid system
10. System crashed after installing new update. So update is now off.
12. It doesn't work with proper frequency with old and good CRT monitor. STUPID!

So we now are afraid to turn on comp and install anything new. Great, great dissappointment
This post gave me cancer.

And Trisk ... you're going to LOVE Windows 8

Trisk -- I have never heard of anyone having the problems that you have had. Could you fill in your System Specs in the lower left of your message. This might be a clue as to why you are having a problem. Be as complete as possible.

Moving files to external, formatting then moving back.
Hi everyone. I just bought a new SSD. I plan to whipe my old drive and put the OS onto the SSD. On my current drive I quite a few games. The question I have is about backing up games/moving the files. I have steam, origin and battlenet. I tried to use steam back up before, it stopped working...

What do you regret?
Granted, many of us don't cry over spilled milk, or have moved on and don't dwell on the past, but there's always something that we can think of that we regret. I'll go first. Letting a few good (marriage material) women get away. Not buying that Samsung 830 64Gb SSD for $99.99, a few days...

Moving Windows 7 from old PC to new PC
I currently own a Optiplex 745, and was just presented with the opportunity to trade in for a Precision T3500. My issue is moving the windows 7 OS from a 80gb hard drive (optiplex 745) to a 320 GB hard drive (T3500). I know I can image the Drive to move but how do I take into account the change...
