PC will not boot. Startup repair keeps failing.

    I know. But trying to see if there is any way to get it running before doing a clean reinstall. Not sure why it wont let me do the upgrade install

    Repair Install

    And you can always use Linux Mint 16 off a flash drive ( not installed ) to copy and paste your data.

    Work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start which try everything possible to start Win7, leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files to do a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

    Since you'd need to make the Win7 installation DVD or flash stick anyway, you might as well try the repairs first. I'd copy out my files first as shown in the steps.
