I have posted this topic ones and as a result I reformatted my system. It has not helped my pc speed. Programs open slow and are frequently unresponsive it is I understand that this is old hardware. This time I have posted a video of how unresponsive my system is as you can see programs open very very slow some programs take almost 2 minutes to open and become unresponsive ones open

There are multiple things you can do to help speed up your system.
Disk Clean Up, Also try the elevated one here; Disk Cleanup : Extended
General maintenance of your pc I.E delete them old wanted files.
There are many more which im sure you know of, or have tried.
Hardware will play a part in the speed of your system.
Ram is so cheap now, have you thought about investing in some new sticks?
Or maybe its time to upgrade your machine :)
no I have not invested in investing in sticks of ram only for two reason the first is because I thought ram was just used to store the programs that are oepn. So I could have multiple high end applications open at ones like zbrush and photoshop. I never thought it had anything to do with pc performance as far as speed of programs opening and closing. And the second reason is because I just started working and I am saving up to build me a rig I did not wanna put anymore money into this machine unless I thought it was going to be beneficial.
Ram (Random Access Memory) is used for all sorts of things.
It can help with Opening times of Programs, And little bit more performance. Dont get me wrong if you bought some newer faster ram, your pc would improve but not massively.
And your current Pc specs are quite old. So i probably wouldn't invest in any ram.
Like you said just wait until you build your dream machine.
For a start your HDD is only 5400rpm which is a very slow drive, so that will be slowing things down quite noticeably. Your CPU being only 1.6GHz is also going to hamper performance, is this a laptop you have?
If you're using intensive photo editing programs then it's no surprise that it's running slowly to be honest, and short of upgrades there's not a lot you can do. If this is how it's running following a clean install of Windows 7 that's what you'll be stuck with until you invest in a new rig unfortunately.

RAM is mainly used for storing applications being run but if you start opening lots of programs simultaneously then your computer will slow down mainly due to RAM being used, more RAM will be paged onto disk and used off of there rather than the RAM itself which is far slower.
Although I don't think this is your cause unless you're opening a lot of programs at once.
