    Windows 7 Not Genuine message at bottom right corner


    Am getting the below message

    "Windows 7
    Build 7601
    This copy of Windows is not genuine"

    am using windows 7 Starter pack...

    Bought this laptop in GITEX from authorised dealer only and been using it for almost 2 years now !!

    been getting this message since last 8-10 days

    I am sorry, but other than telling you to run the program in Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions to help the Windows Genuine experts solve the issue, I cannot help you any farther.

    Have you completely shut down (powered off) your PC and then restarted it (a minutes or so later)?

    Last year something crashed on my PC and that message appeared on the desktop.
    When I restarted it, everything was normal (no message) and it hasn't happened since.

    Also, have you tried doing a System Restore?

One day I booted up my laptop and all the icons that are normally in the bottom right hand corner of my screen are gone. Etc. Volume, Internet Connection and Battery Life any ideas????
Is it possible to turn off the version/build text in the bottom right corner of the desktop? If so, please help me doing it, and if you know how to do it on XP, then help me there too ^^ (I enabled it on XP once, forgot how i did :S) If you dont know what i mean with version text, look here:...
