    font folder freezes, can't install new fonts


    Hey all.

    It all started when I noticed my Franklin Gothic Heavy wouldn't budge from the Italic setting in Photoshop. Doubleclicking on Fonts brings up the folder but it does nothing. The green bar just expands and expands unto infinity (see attached pic), and my computer instantly goes into "loud whirring and hot gusts of wind" mode, which only stops when I restart. Tried Fix Fonts Folder utility. Tried Unlocker. Tried reinstalling photoshop. The most that has happened is I managed to delete Franklin Gothic Heavy via Unlocker, but I downloaded a fresh version of the font and clicked Install but it's nowhere to be found in Photoshop options.

    Any help at all would be appreciated.
