Your data should always be backed up if necessary to the cloud using free method linked at bottom of this post.

I have a bit more than 7GB to back up though.

The problem has returned, seems like that restarting the computer makes it dissappear for a day. So you've told me to back up driver D and C but they have more than 7 GB which as far as I understand the maximum amount the cloud can store. Should I buy a storing device before starting the scan?

You should have one anyway, anything you don't want to lose should have at least one backup.

Will probably be able to buy the item in two days but in the meanwhile I would like to ask why does this problem usually happen? Does it make sense that it is because I now use a DVI cable that the problem appears? Could it be either hearthstone or chrome suddenly requiring more CPU? The problem now return every few hours and I find it really weird.
