    Creating a bootable disc...

    Hey everyone!

Got a question for you all. Ok so my windows 7 disc has gone walkabout, but I've got a copy of the contents of the disc on my PC (as in copy paste of the contents of the DVD) but I am unsure of how to make this into a bootable disc.

I can copy all the files to a USB drive after making it bootable with some command line work and just boot from USB and install it from there on my PC, but I want to be able to make a dvd to install it from also, to maybe bootcamp it on my Mac, yet I'm unaware of exactly how to do this, so if anyone could share some insight it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers!

Yeah as I stated guys I know how to make a bootable USB drive to install from, not to sound rude but I did say that in my post.

What I would like to know is how to take the contents of the disc I have, and make a bootable disc from it, not USB but a DVD disc, as I can't install from USB when doing it on my Mac with Boot Camp.

    Cheers

You might try looking at SIW2's tutorial on creating a bootable iso from the student DL... sounds like your folder structure after the copy and paste is gonna be the same as the expanded setup folder. Here is the tutorial: Make bootable iso from student d/l

    Hope this helps you!

PS - DVD went walkabout??? Either you have a theif or a small child, or u installed drunk and hid it from yourself!
