    Accidentally deleted my webres.dll?

I accidentally deleted my webres.dll while cleaning my PC.

    - I've redownloaded it, but I don't know where to place it!

What does it belong to? It's not a part of Windows so must belong to an installed program or driver.

    Place webres.dll C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7)
    OR
    Place webres.dll C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (Windows 64-bit)

The above should be the default location.

According to Herd Protect, it's an IObit app extension and goes in the Programs folder.

    Common path:
    C:\Program Files\iobit\driver booster\webres.dll
By the way George, your locations are backwards.

Please follow the instructions in OPTION TWO of SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Copy C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log to your Desktop (it is a protected file so you cannot attach the original)

Attach the copy of the entire CBS.log to a new post.

    Thanks
