Obviously, those are temporary Internet Explorer files. You will get those every time you visit a web page. All the icons, photos and scripts are stored so that when you visit the page again, the page loads faster. I clear mine with CCleaner at the end of each day but you can reduce the size allocated for the files so that just the most recent are stored. You can also select to delete them at the end of a session but I like to keep certain cookies for logons, etc. so that's the reason I use CCleaner. (Allows exclusions)

I'm not sure why some are being stored in the SysWOW64 folder. I've never seen that. That folder is for 32-bit drivers and their configurations. It could be an Environment Variable is corrupt or misconfigured.

wow carwiz, you really made me think there...

under the general tab in internet options>temp internet files and history>settings>browsing history.
check for newer versions...-disk space to use...-days to keep pages in history...>ALL set way to high!
i forgot how much tweaking i had to do in the years after the last reinstall.
this forum will be a good place to review my mistakes in the future.

    thank you
