About the student discount professional edition.

I was wondering if I can install that one on multiple computers because I have a desktop and laptop that I would like to use W7 on.

I think it's one license per computor, as far as i know. You used to be able to install a desktop and laptop with i license.

Anybody else have any comments? Because as of right now, I'm getting multiple answers. Some say I can some say I can't. Some say it comes with 1 license, some say it comes with 3 licenses.

So let's just say that it only comes with 1 license. How would I go about purchase more licenses?

You do need a separate license for each machine.

I believe the student deal was one license per qualifying email address.

Not sure if you could get one for Home Prem and one for Pro with the same email - maybe, it's worth a try.

You get one key, and that's supposed to mean one computer. And no, you can't make another order under the student discount, etc.

Sometimes people report that they activate on two machines and don't have activation throw a fit, sometimes they don't. But they're not really getting multiple licenses.

The only way to get three licenses at once for sure is via the family pack, where the individual license pricing works out pretty darn close to the student deal. You might want to see if there are those near to you who'd be able to take advantage of that with you.
