    Time is Incorrect

have Windows7 pro on a Dell OPtiplex 760. For soem reason the time is always wrong. I checked BIOS and the time is correct there. I tried to use the sync feature but it still goes off. I tried watching the clock and noticed that sometimes the seconds hand just stops. Any ideas?

Well it could be your battery on your motherboard going bad. When you shut down you computer then trun it back on is the time all wrong? Do you lose any settings?

engin33r is right; use time.nist.gov, that ntp server kicks ass, but you might also want to try and disable your firewall.

I disabled it and the clock updated in 2 - 3 seconds when I pressed update

    good luck!
