Can't open folders fast enough :'(

Hey you guys, I deal with lots of files and folders as I have to test some of my website works using /localhost and you know how it is. When I had Windows 7 BETA and RC I noticed nothing but fastness. But now that I have the Release, my folders open too slow. And I have to deal with lots of .php files and I'm comfortable using Adobe DreamWeaver (CS4). Whenever I try to open up and quick edit some .php using DreamWeaver it also takes lots of time to load. I had none of these issues with the BETA and the RC. Any of you expierencing this?

If so, is there anything that I need to modify or disable?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Only thing I can think of a the moment that may help you is to defrag the hard drives and/or partitions of your system while Windows is offline.

To do this, use O&O Defrag. It has a built-in scheduler function that may be set to perform offline defrag upon the next system reboot.

This can be very helpful because it is important for MFT and other files to be defragged. Everytime your system accesses a file, the MFT is in use. If that's not in good order on the disk, it will cause poor performance thoughout.

Good luck and tell us how it goes.

There are other defrag utilities to accomplish this but O&O is my recommendation.
