Re: Would TWC's Newer "Everyday Low Price" Internet Plan Work?
Hello. I have a question to ask you.
Time Warner Cable (TWC) has their latest "Everyday Low Price" for $14.99 for "Download up to 2Mbps" and with "Upload up to 1Mbps". I am not sure if this pricing schedule is particular to my area or nationwide. I have Time Warner Cable Internet with Turbo (Download "up to 20 Mbps" and "Upload up to 2 Mbps.) presently. I would like to save some money. I am paying approximately 4 times the "everyday low price". I may be wrong, but I am wondering if a slower speed would be adequate based on my needs -- I will mention in a minute. I have had a year ago TWC's 3 Down/1 Up Mbps in the past without issues. I would say maybe one or two 10 second disconnects in a 4 -6 hour usage from the live streaming Internet radio, but it maybe THEIR server that did the disconnecting. The Internet live streaming readio console is 10/100 Mbps Ethernet capable and not gigabit capable. ONLY use a desktop computer and an Internet live streaming radio console that actively uses the Internet for several years. The hardware is a gigabit router (Netgear WNDR3700) and a cable modem (Motorola SB6141). No wireless Wi-Fi , everything is all hardwired with Ethernet cables. I do not do much, if any live streaming with my desktop computer. The most demanding would be YouTube videos on my desktop. I have no issues right now with my 20 Down/2 Up Mbps (Of course, not.) with my simple Internet setup.
So my question, would 2 Down/1 Up Mbps work for me or would I have issues, especially with the Internet live streaming radio console? Your facts or thoughts about this and if the "Everyday Low Price" would work for me?
Please reply.
Thank you!
