    Alt-Tab Stopped Working

I can't switch programs using Alt-Tab. Also, clicking the icon of a running program in the taskbar doesn't work either. When I click a taskbar icon, it just flashes the icon and title bar of the program 7 times and does not bring the program to the front.

I'm running Windows 7 x64. I ran sfc /scannow and it found no problems.

I read a post on this forum that described a similar problems, but none of the proposed solutions worked. Anyone have any ideas?

This possibly sounds a little strange but try switching your laptop off, removing the power adapter and battery for a minute and then switch it back on and see if it works.

You could also try tapping the 2 Windows, Shift, CTRL and ALT keys to make sure none of them are stuck down a little, if they are these will cause adverse affects.

Last thing i can suggest at this stage is remove any peripherals you have connected such as an external keyboard or mouse and see if the problem persists.

    Problem Resolved

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, I ran a registry cleaning app after posting my problem and shutdown my computer for the night. That must have done the trick because this morning everything is working fine. Thanks again.
